Season 4, Episode 10
We’re back to normal this week with not just any guest, but the most listened to guest in the history of the show so far, Qian Julie Wang.
Qian Julie was the star of Season 1 episode 7 “Turning Hardship into Power”. That episode was recorded in July 2020, and the interview you’re about to hear was recorded in August 2021. This interview is essentially a year update for Julie and myself and boy, what a year it was! We talk about the election in the states, we look back at the Jan 6th riots, and, of course, talk about Covid. However, more importantly, we talk about the build up to her book launch. She tells me about the excitement, recording her audiobook, and getting to do a book tour. She also discusses her law career, and tells me why she’s reclaiming her name as Qian Julie instead of just Julie, and why her and her husband started up their own law firm.
Before you listen, I’d highly reccommend you check out Qian Julie’s first episode on the show. In it, she really talks about her time in China, and then New York, and growing up in poverty. You can listen to that here!
Enjoy the interview!
I am very grateful that Qian Julie Wang came onto the show. If you are like me and would love to follow her on social media, check her out on Twitter, or Instagram. And so that’s a wrap on Season 4! Thanks so much to all my wonderful guests as well as you amazing listeners! I look forward to seeing you all on October 4th where I’ll be kicking off Season 5!
