I had the honour of interviewing Halo Scot. Halo is easily one of the maddest, craziest, and most supportive authors I’ve got to know through this podcast!
Halo is the author of the Rift Cycle, a four-book, grim-dark fantasy series. She is also, along with Mario Dell’Olio, one of the six co-founders of queerindie.com. This wonderful site is a directory of books established to promote books by LGBT+ authors and allies of LGBT+ authors.
Halo describes herself as a “renaissance soul”, explaining her attempts at many different careers, before finally finding solace in writing. There, she wrote the insanely dark and violent Edge of the Breach which came from “depths [she] didn’t even know [she] had!” Have a listen and see what you think!
Since we spoke, Halo was ALSO on Christmas Special Dungeons and Dragons episode. In it, she played Sir Nic Cage, the sorcerer obsessed with licking things! You can watch that by clicking here!
Halo has since released the sequel to her first book, both of which you can find here: (Be warned, as was said in the podcast, it is NOT for the faint of heart!)
I was very grateful indeed that I’ve come to know Halo, and I hope you are too!
