Season 3, Episode 7
Hi there, Storylovers! My guest today is Aaron Denius, author of the sci-fi novel Gene. Sys, poet and television screenwriter.
I met Aaron through TikTok, or to be more specific BookTok and AuthorTok. Aaron and I have a really in depth chat about his childhood and the differences he saw between Venezuela and the USA. Aaron was born in the USA, but lived in Venezuela until age 10. His family then moved to the USA where he lives to this day. We speak about how a geography class in college got him interested in film and television as a possible career choice. Aaron actually ended up moving to LA and landed a job working as a writer for the television show Leverage, and we talk about the differences between writing for tv and writing a novel. He tells a great story and I know you’ll really enjoy the interview.
